Asian Tuna Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Canned Tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger. minced
  • 3/4 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Green Onions, diced finely
  • 1/2 cup Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Canola Oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Egg Whites
  • 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 6 Whole-Grain Rolls
  • 1 small Romaine Lettuce, torn into 6 pieces
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Drain and flake tuna
  3. In a large bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, green onions, red bell peppers, sesame oil, canola oil, and egg whites together.
  4. Add breadcrumbs and stir well.
  5. Use a scoop to portion 6 servings onto a full sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Press tuna light to form into tuna patties.
  6. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.
  7. Slice rolls open and place on plate; place 1/2 oz lettuce on the bottom half of each roll.
  8. Place 1 1/2 oz sliced tomato on top of lettuce
  9. Place cooked tuna burger on top of tomato. Cover with the top of the roll.
