Reflecting on 2024 - Full Plates, Full Lives
A Year of Impact, Growth, and Hope
As we step into 2025, we reflect on the incredible strides made in the fight against hunger across the Central Rappahannock River Region. The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank’s 2024 Annual Report highlights the collective power of our community—donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters—who stood together to provide over 7.4 million meals to neighbors in need.
Key Highlights from 2024:
- 51,993 neighbors received food assistance through our network.
- 8.8 million pounds of food were distributed across the region.
- Nearly 1.9 million pounds of fresh produce is provided to promote better nutrition.
- 23,985 volunteer hours powered our mission.
- 461,532 meals were secured through SNAP application assistance.
This year’s report also unveils our new strategic direction, focusing on expanding food accessibility, increasing access to healthy food, and ensuring long-term sustainability. By enhancing programs like mobile pantries, OrderAhead grocery pickup, and nutrition education, we’re striving to make Full Plates and Full Lives a reality for all.
