Giant Donates 1,000 Turkeys!

On Tuesday, December 11th, Giant donated 1,000 turkeys for the FRFB to distribute to our hungry neighbors for Thanksgiving.

“As a grocery store and a member of the Fredericksburg community, we recognize the important role we play in the fight against hunger,” said Daniel Wolk, Media Relations Manager at Giant Food. “In our region, food insecurity is a major issue and has only gotten worse due to the coronavirus, which is why we are proud to donate 1,000 turkeys to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank in the hopes that they help those in need rest a little easier this holiday season.”

Dayle Reschick, President & CEO of the FRFB says she is so grateful for the continued support and partnership of Giant, especially during the holidays. "Just imagine a Thanksgiving without the food and joy that makes the day so special. Imagine an empty table, and a quiet house full of sadness and worries.
