End Child Hunger Now!
13 million children may not have enough to eat this year.
We know how to help: A Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) program would provide eligible families with grocery cards when school is out for the summer, helping them fill in the gap and ensuring kids have the food they need to grow and thrive.
With Summer EBT, our lawmakers have the power to make sure no child goes hungry – but they'll only take action if we keep up the pressure. Tell your lawmakers: make Summer EBT permanent and nationwide.
We've seen the program work: In Summer EBT pilots across the country, the grocery cards provided to families helped cut food insecurity among children by almost one-third! And the program contributed to healthier, more complete diets for children whose families participated in the program while school was out.
Kids that experience hunger are more likely to become less healthy and struggle in school – difficulties with consequences that can follow them to adulthood. And, with the continued economic fallout of COVID-19, kids of color and kids living in rural areas are especially vulnerable to hunger. Summer EBT is a critical step our lawmakers can take NOW to help end child hunger for all kids.
Thank you for being with us in this fight to end hunger for all children and families.
