Hungry kids urgently need your voice.

Right now, Congress is making critical decisions about policies that help feed kids. We have a small but important window of opportunity to make sure these policies make it into this year’s reconciliation bill, which is being drafted right now.

Tell Congress: now is the time to improve the lives of hungry children by passing legislation that expands access to food year-round and helps families get resources for essential needs.

Specifically, Congress should:

  • Make the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer program, or Summer EBT, a nationwide and permanent program. It helps get more food to kids in need when schools are out of session.
  • Help schools reach more kids with the healthy meals they need by expanding a program called the Community Eligibility Provision, or CEP, so kids can focus on learning and not their empty stomachs.
  • Extend the enhanced Child Tax Credit benefits and make them permanent. This could reduce child poverty by 50%.

Now is the time to contact your members of Congress. Decisions will be made by September 15 and they need to hear from you soon. And with childhood hunger, there’s no time to waste.

Congress has the power to make drastic improvements to the lives of our nation’s children. The roughly 13 million kids at risk of hunger in our country deserve no less.

Please take action today and send a letter to your members of Congress now.
