The Fredericksburg Area Food Bank has achieved a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America's largest independent evaluator or charities. The rating was based on the ability of the Food Bank to efficiently manage and grow its finances. The rating indicates the Food Bank executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. Only one quarter of charities evaluated receive this highest rating.
Charity Navigator is the leading charity evaluator in America, evaluating more charities and attracting more website visits than any other charity rating group. Charity Navigator recognizes the demand from donors for information about accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from charities. It highlights the work of efficient charities and provides donors with essential information needed to provide donors with greater confidence in the charitable choices they make.
